Businessman's Review
At Durkin Group, we work with lenders who are underwriting new loans or loan renewals, knowing that they need to have an understanding of the operational and financial condition of a borrower to make sound lending decisions.
During a Businessman’s Review, our professional will meet with a borrower’s management team to discuss each functional area of the business including sales and marketing, operations, finance, organizational structure, and if appropriate, inventory control. During this meeting, the professional will ask questions to determine if the management team is effectively running the business rather than operating the business in a crisis mode. The management team should be monitoring key levers which affect cash flow and profitability as well as measuring the company’s performance against industry peers or benchmarks.
The Businessman’s Review is often used when a lender needs to improve or confirm their understanding of a borrower’s business.
